Shipping inquiries after the package left Japan

What can Blackship do once items have left Japan?

The role of Blackship is to forward packages from Japan to overseas. Once the package has shipped and left our office, it is the responsibility of the shipping carrier (Japan Post, FedEx, DHL, etc.) to ensure the package reaches the destination safely and quickly. If the package is still in Japan, Blackship can try to intercept the package or convey important information to the carrier beforehand, but we are unable to do so once the package is overseas.

Why is my package still in customs? Can Blackship help move a package out of customs?

Packages may be held in customs for numerous reasons. If a package has not moved out of customs in a week or two, there is likely an additional fee the customer needs to pay. We recommend contacting your local customs office to see if there is an additional fee that needs to be taken care of before the package is delivered.

If the package has been held in your country's customs for over a month with no updates, we can file a claim on your behalf for items delivered via Japan Post. Please contact us if you would like us to file a claim for packages stuck in customs for an extended period of time.
